Travel around Ibiza by boat from the Playa d’en Bossa jetty

Did you know that you can go by boat to the city of Ibiza from the jetty at Playa d’en Bossa, travelling around the island’s coast or crossing over to the neighbouring island of Formentera?

Right where playa d’en Bossa begins, next to hotel Torre del Mar, you’ll find a small jetty from which a wide variety of boats depart, offering a new way to travel around the island or to the paradisiac island of Formentera and back again the same day.

Travelling around Ibiza by boat is the perfect alternative to avoid issues with traffic and parking on the Island of Ibiza. From the Playa d’en Bossa jetty you’ll be able to travel via taxi boat to other points around the city of Ibiza, including Figueretas beach, the port or the far end of Playa d’en Bossa where you’ll find some of the Island’s most famous clubs and beach clubs. We’d recommend this option especially at night, given that sometimes it’s hard to find available taxis to go out for dinner at a restaurant in the centre of Ibiza.

Some of them even have a glass bottom so you can discover the incredible Posidonia meadows in Ibiza, which are declared as Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Other boats which depart from here offer tempting boat parties or excursions where you can watch the sunset on some of the most beautiful beaches and coves on the Island.

One activity we’d always recommend while on holiday in Ibiza is a visit to the island of Formentera, which is located less than an hour by boat from Ibiza itself. From the Playa d’en Bossa jetty, you’ll find a number of different ferry companies which offer return trips to the island of Formentera a number of times a day. It’s the most convenient alternative if you’re staying at Playa d’en Bossa.
