Ibiza in May: the island for relaxation and fun

A new season is under way in Ibiza! For many reasons, May is one of our favourite months. And just as important… on the 10th of May we reopen our hotel on Playa d’en Bossa beach.

May is one of the best months to enjoy the peace and relaxation that Ibiza gives you in spring, but it’s also the best time to celebrate the announcing of summer, since with it come the eagerly awaited opening parties for the most famous clubs in the world.

Mild temperatures during the day and a bit cool when the night hits, it makes for great weather for enjoying the White Island: travelling around the best beaches and coves in Ibiza, doing day trips to the island of Formentera by boat, and dancing to the rhythm of the music of some of the best DJs on the planet.

May in Ibiza: events for whatever your tastes are

The second weekend in May (from the 10th to the 13th) Ibiza travels centuries back in time and the old quarter fills with jugglers, troubadours and sellers with the famous Ibiza Medieval Market: the perfect excuse for a getaway to the White Island in May, and to discover the medieval and renaissance past of the Ibiza.

The music festival Dreams of Freedom returns to the island of Ibiza on the 17th, 18th and 19th of May and features national and international artists like Morning Drivers, Orishas and The Original Wailers -among many others-.

Professionals and electronic music scene enthusiasts have some dates circled on their calendar in Ibiza from the 23rd to the 25th of May. The island with play host to a new edition of the International Music Summit: a can’t miss event for collaboration, development and musical creation for the future with a programme of seminars, debates and master classes. The IMS marks the kick off of Ibiza’s summer season. The best opening parties on the island take place on the days before and after this event.
